Grace is not a neutral word.
It’s a bit loaded, actually — layered with spiritual, moral, and cultural meanings.
We tend to associate grace with elegance and poise.
With mercy, forgiveness, blessing, kindness.
With something bestowed. Something admirable. Something rare.
There was a season in my life when those forms of grace felt like large abstract shapes.
distant, formless. romantic.
And yet, I longed for them.
Over Time, something shifted.
I stopped waiting for grace to arrive in dramatic ways.
It began to take on smaller shapes. in ways that had form, could be named.
An ache easing for a day.
A moment of quiet composure.
A decision not to demand more of myself.
I sat with what felt within reach, the feelings of those moments.
Relief.
Steady.
Enough.
I could feel those words in my body.
That’s where I began to find some grace.
This space begins with exploring the smaller shapes of grace.
